Integrating a High Temperature Fuel Cell with СО<sub>2</sub> Capture System into Thermal Power Plant Energy Cycle

The molten carbonate fuel cell allows for capturing, separating and concentrating CO 2 as it passes through the melt from cathode side to anode side, while simultaneously generating electricity heat. article presents technology flow diagram of a system capturing flue gases thermal power plant in high-temperature on carbonates with subsequent conversion utilization gaseous combustible products energy cycle plant. runs natural gas internal reforming. After cell, leaving is sent unit where, reaction carbon at high temperatures, are formed that suitable re-combustion turbine. For plants converting dioxide, thermodynamic, technical economic calculations were carried out. efficiency 42 %. In baseline scenario, net 61 % capture ration 80–85 return after taking into account their calorific value, makes possible additionally increase electric up 20 With cost 1300 EUR/kW price 0.04 EUR/kW, total 0.074 EUR/kW. results show proposed attractive generation capture.
